Warwick Solo and Mini Band Competition
Join Warwick Thistle Pipe Band for the October long weekend as they host a miniband and solo piping and drumming competition at Leslie Park in Warwick!
Registrations close 27 September.
MINIBAND REQUIREMENTS
To help you prepare for the mini band competition, here is a summary of the key rules:
A mini band consists of 4 pipers, 1 bass drummer and 2 snare drummers, and, if desired, 1 tenor.
The music requirements (marches, MSR, medley, etc.) shall be the same as the requirements for a full band.
The PM, Lead Drummer and Bass Drummer may play in multiple mini bands from the same band.
There will be 1 piping and 1 drumming judge.

Pipe Band Forum
Pipe Bands Queensland wants to understand the needs of all the pipe bands in our state - members and non-members, including regional community pipe bands. Prior to this meeting we suggest discussing with your members what is important to you, and how PBA could help to boost your efforts. This 1 hour session is an open dialog for you to voice your thoughts, make new connections, and learn from one another.

Piping and Drumming Certificate Exams - APBC
Piping and drumming certificate exams will be conducted from 12pm-2pm on 21 October 2023 at the City of Ipswich Pipe Band Hall.
People may arrive up to an hour early if they would like any help with any of the content.
All levels will be offered, noting that the preliminary and elementary theory workshop content is available to assist student preparation.
Participants must bring their bagpipes and practice chanter (chanter only for preliminary).
Participants must register by 15 October, using the Australian Pipe Band College form. Please send all forms to pm@ipswichpipeband.com.
